Starlink mount FAQs
Which Starlink mount do I need?
First identify the dish as Gen 3/V4, Mini or an earlier model. Then choose between an adapter for an existing mast, a complete roof kit, or a portable vehicle/caravan mount. See our Starlink mount guide or shop Starlink mounts.
Can I mount Starlink on an existing antenna pole?
Often, yes, if the adapter diameter matches and the mast and brackets can safely carry the additional wind load. Inspect older hardware and use corrosion-resistant fixings.
Do Starlink Mini mounts fit Gen 3?
Usually not. The dishes use different dimensions and mounting arrangements. Only choose a mount that explicitly lists your model.
Where should a Starlink dish be installed?
Use the Starlink app obstruction tool and choose the clearest practical view of the sky, away from trees and rooflines. Balance obstruction clearance against wind loading and safe access.
Cel‑Fi mobile signal repeater FAQs
Which Cel‑Fi model should I choose?
GO G41 is generally suited to fixed homes and small workplaces, ROAM R41 to vehicles and caravans, and GO G51 to compatible fixed 5G NR applications. Read our Cel‑Fi comparison guide or shop Cel‑Fi repeaters.
Are mobile signal boosters legal in Australia?
Only compliant, carrier-authorised cellular repeaters may be used. Unauthorised repeaters can interfere with networks, while boosters connected directly to a single handset are prohibited. Confirm Australian carrier permission and ACMA compliance.
Will Cel‑Fi work if there is no signal outside?
No. A repeater needs usable donor signal at the outdoor antenna. Antenna position, cable loss, antenna separation and building materials all affect the result.
Should I choose a Yagi or omni antenna?
A Yagi is directional and suits a known tower direction. An omni receives from all directions and can suit locations where tower direction varies or is unknown. A site survey gives the most reliable answer.
VAST satellite TV kit FAQs
What is VAST?
Viewer Access Satellite Television provides eligible Australian viewers and travellers with free-to-air television by satellite where terrestrial reception is unavailable or unsuitable.
Which VAST kit should I buy?
Choose a portable manual kit for camping and occasional caravan travel, a permanent house kit for a fixed property, or an automatic system for frequent travel and faster setup. See the VAST kit guide or shop VAST systems.
Does a VAST kit include the receiver?
Some kits include a certified receiver and some are designed for buyers who already own one. Read the product inclusions carefully and confirm smartcard compatibility.
How do I register VAST?
Registration and access are handled by the official MySatTV service. Eligibility and available channels depend on the location and intended use.
Why can’t my satellite receiver find channels?
Common causes include the wrong satellite, inaccurate dish alignment, incorrect LNB skew, poor connectors, damaged coax or an inactive receiver registration. Check signal quality and each connection in order.
