85cm Satellite Dish for VAST & Satellite TV

A correctly sized and accurately installed satellite dish is essential for reliable satellite television reception.

This 85cm-class satellite dish is suitable for installations requiring a Ku-band satellite dish for VAST and other compatible satellite television services.

Its steel construction and powder-coated finish make it suitable for permanent outdoor installations, while the adjustable azimuth and elevation mounting system allows the dish to be accurately aligned with the required satellite.

Ideal for VAST Satellite TV

The dish is particularly well suited to VAST satellite TV installations, making it a practical choice for homes and properties where terrestrial television reception is unavailable or unreliable.

It can also be used for other compatible satellite television services, provided the required satellite, LNB and receiver specifications are supported.

For a complete VAST installation, you'll generally need:

  • Satellite dish
  • Compatible LNB
  • Satellite receiver
  • Coaxial cable
  • F-connectors
  • Suitable dish mounting hardware

The dish itself does not include an LNB, so make sure you select a compatible LNB for your satellite service.

Why Choose an 85cm Satellite Dish?

An 85cm-class dish provides a useful balance between signal collection, physical size and installation requirements.

A larger dish generally collects more satellite signal than a smaller dish, providing additional reception margin where conditions are less favourable.

This can be particularly useful in parts of Australia where satellite reception conditions vary or where you want additional margin against signal degradation caused by weather.

The actual reception performance will depend on:

  • Satellite being received
  • Location
  • Dish alignment
  • LNB performance
  • Cable quality
  • Weather conditions
  • Obstructions
  • Installation quality
