Altech UEC VAST Replacement Remote Control

This Altech UEC replacement remote control is designed for compatible UEC VAST satellite receivers and PVRs.

It provides a replacement for the original remote supplied with a range of Altech UEC receivers, making it possible to continue using an existing VAST satellite system without replacing the receiver simply because the remote has been lost or damaged.

The supported receiver range includes the older DSD4121 and DSD4121PVR, as well as the DSD4121RV, DSR4639, DSD4921RV and DSD5000.

Does It Need Programming?

This isn't a conventional universal remote that requires customers to work through a long list of TV or receiver codes.

It is intended as a replacement for the compatible UEC receiver remote.

If the remote doesn't work immediately, power the satellite receiver off and back on and then test the remote again. Australian suppliers of the same remote specifically recommend power-cycling the receiver if it does not immediately respond, as this resets the IR codes.

Is this a universal remote?

No. It is specifically intended for compatible Altech UEC VAST satellite receivers.

What if the remote doesn't work after I put the batteries in?

Power the UEC receiver off and back on, then try the remote again. This can reset the receiver's IR codes.

Does it include batteries?

No.
